Avatoon 1.1 is out now!
So finally after a few weeks of tweaks, Avatoon 1.1 is finally done, built and released to the public. I originally was gonna settle with posting a new version with just the Global Input added, but I decided to experiment a bit more, and I learned a bit more how Godot's UI creation works, and thus decided to overhaul the UI visually.
Hopefully now it looks better and easier to the eyes. But since I went through the effort of redoing the UI, I figured why stop there. May as well fix some issues I found on the original release.
Sometimes, when the PC lags, the audio input gets off sync, resulting in the model delaying in shifting frames based on my voice. So I added a quick "resync mic" command to fix that. Hopefully it works.
Next, I made it so the window itself can now be scaled, wither with the mouse, or with a new set of options I added in the also new "Adjust" popup menu. And lastly, I added another option in the "Adjust" menu that lets you choose the input device. With those major bits down, I made some final QOL changes and here it is!
I'm happy with how it looks now, and I think it will not be the end of its development just yet, though I will pause it for a while, as I want to participate in a game jam and maybe spend time on doing personal projects.
Here's a full changelog of what's been added and/or tweaked in Avatoon v1.1:
